Die Aufgaben
A PhD position is available at the Department of Infection Biology, Universitätsklinikum Erlangen.The project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and will focus on basophil-regulated mechanisms that control allergic lung inflammation after sensitization via the skin (build on Choi et al. (2026) Allergy. 2026 Jan;81(1):220-231. doi: 10.1111/all.70093).
In this project we will use a broad spectrum of cutting-edge technologies and sophisticated mouse models to investigate how basophils and other cell types contribute to the spread of allergic inflammation from skin to lung.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in cellular and molecular immunology.Solid experience in flow cytometry and use of in vivo models (Felasa-B certificate) would be advantageous.
