The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for the newly established Chair of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. The position is based at the University Children's Hospital Zurich and encompasses responsibilities in research, patient care, and teaching. The chair will lead the Pediatric Infectious Diseases unit.
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative academic leader with substantial clinical experience and research expertise in pediatric infectious diseases, demonstrated by international recognition in the field. The successful candidate will hold a Swiss specialist qualification (FMH) in Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases or an equivalent foreign certification, as well as a habilitation or equivalent academic qualification. Applicants are expected to have a strong record of research leadership, including the management of a research group, successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding, and active engagement in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervision of academic theses, and the mentoring of junior researchers.

German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages should be available or must be acquired within a reasonable period of time.
