Background:
Bacterial infections, especially in the context of rising antibiotic resistances, will become one of the major challenges in future medicine. A potential solution could be bacteriophage therapy, an innovative area in which we conduct leading research.

Your Opportunity:
We offer you the chance to become part of our translational team of clinicians and basic researchers, deeply engaging in uro-infectiology projects. The primary focus is on researching urinary tract infections and the application of bacteriophage therapy.

Your responsibilities

Meet the core requirements of the MD-PhD Program or Biomedical Program of the University of Zurich
Manage and supervise study participants:

  • Plan and conduct patient visits
  • Record health-related data
  • Collect and process biological samples
  • Document study results

Study coordination:

  • Plan and coordinate internal and external investigations
  • Monitor study data and visits
  • Collaborate with research partners

Academic commitments:

  • Formulate scientific research questions
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Publish research findings
  • Present insights at scientific platforms
  • Teach and mentor students

Your profile

  • Completed degree in Medicine, Psychology, or a relevant natural science field
  • Strong interest in uro-infectiology research
  • Structured, systematic, and well-organized work ethic
  • Creative, self-motivated, and committed personality
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English
  • Excellent communication skills and patient-oriented demeanor
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to work on weekends and holidays (with compensation)
